Welcome to Potton Dance Academy
We're a fun and friendly dancing school based in Potton, Bedfordshire.
The school currently runs over 30 classes each week, housing over 100 students who take part in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary and Adult classes. We also hold an annual dance showcase and regular exam sessions with the ISTD and IDTA.
Weekly classes are held throughout term-time for children, teens and adults of all ages and abilities. New starters are welcome to join us throughout the year.

The dancing school in Potton first opened in 1983 with Ballet classes at Potton Community Centre. Miss Jodie joined the school aged 3 to take part in baby ballet classes, and later took part in Tap & Modern lessons too. She continued at the school until age 16, and went on to study a BTEC National Diploma in Dance, followed by a Ba Honours degree in Performing Arts.
After leaving university, Miss Jodie attended The dance College, a professional teacher training centre of the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) where she spent four years under the direction of ISTD Fellow & Examiner Miss Meekings. Here she achieved both her Diploma in Dance Instruction and Diploma in Dance Education which enables her to teach the set dance syllabus of the ISTD and to enter children for their own dancing exams.
In January 2010, Miss Jodie became the principal of Potton Dance Academy.
